    The CMS-CDM is a small compact and portable system designed for ‘Corrosion and Deposit monitoring’ application. Model CMS-CDM includes,

  • Frame, panel, valve, flow switch, flow meter, specimen holder and heat exchange assembly, temperature controller and corrosion coupon holder.
  • Pipe material is 3/4" Schedule 80 PVC.
  • A digital display of temperatures of - inlet water, skin temperature
  • The sampling unit consists of a glass tube and a 600 watt heater.
  • Brief Functional details of the system

    The heating of the sample tube accelerates the rate of deposition in the sample tube. The increase in the Deposition provides an idea of the amount of deposit formation over a long period of time. The user can set a minimum pressure drop of 10 psi to maintain flow through the tubing and sample tube holder. Water flow and heating temperature can be set manually to simulate the field cooling water conditions.

  • 30 psi at 450C for 6 hours.
  • 10 psi at 290C for 12 hours.
  • Caution: Higher pressures above 80 psi may cause leaks at the tube fittings.
